At Sasso Psychotherapy I always ensure that therapy will be a safe space for you to explore your feelings and emotions. I provide a judgment free zone, where you can feel comfortable to be you, I want you to come as you are. You can also expect to learn new techniques and skills to better cope with your situation. It's important to me that each of my clients leaves feeling validated and heard because you DESERVE to be validated and heard.
I work with clients aged 15 and up.
Our 15 minute consultation is free of charge, our 50 minute therapy sessions are $135.00.
I accept Interact e-transfer, Visa and Mastercard as methods of payment.
The cost of our sessions covers more than our 50 minutes together. Before our sessions together I spend time processing our previous sessions and coming up with a variety of ways that we can proceed to ensure that we reach your goals. As a Registered Psychotherapists (Qualifying) I am required to pay an annual licensing fee. There are also additional fees such as supervision, insurance, office space (both in person and online) amongst other fees. Unfortunately, these quickly add up, hence, the expensive fee.
Keeping this in mind, I strongly believe that therapy should be accessible to all, I therefore offer a low cost therapy program where one (1) client will receive partially subsidized sessions. I also provide a sliding scale to those who would benefit from one. If you do require reduced rate sessions, please see the "About Reduced Cost Therapy Program".
I do not direct bill your insurance, I will however promptly provide a receipt with all of the required information needed for you to submit to your insurance so you can be reimbursed.
Unfortunately, at this time I do not provide these services.
Because I have recently completed my schooling, I am required to attain 450 hours of sessions with clients, 100 supervision hours and to sit a College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) examination before I am eligible to stop using the (Qualifying) and simply use Registered Psychotherapist. Don’t worry, I have completed all of my schooling and am registered with the CRPO, I simply have not attained everything needed to drop the (Qualifying) yet.
The first step is to book a free 15 minute consultation, we do this so that we can make sure that we are a good fit for each other. After that, before our first session, I will send you intake forms to fill out, on average, they require 30 minutes to complete. Our initial session is quite different from our usual sessions, because I will be going over your intake forms and asking a lot of questions to gain a better understanding of yourself and your goals. After our first session we really delve into the therapeutic aspect of our sessions. I meet with most of my clients once a week, as we get closer to reaching your goals we move to once every other week. When we reach your goals we transition to meeting on a needs be basis.
As a self employed therapist, I do not receive a regular salary; frequent cancellations therefore greatly impact my living. Keeping this in mind, any cancellation with less than 24 hours notice will incur the cost of a full session. This will be charged within 2 days of the cancelled appointment.
If a session is missed, this will also incur the cost of a full session. This payment will also be charged within 2 days the missed session.
I am aware that life happens, and we all have emergencies, should this be the case please reach out within the 2 days and we can discuss waiving the cancelled/missed appointment fee.
I commit to you that I will provide at least 24 hours notice if I need to cancel an appointment. I am also not exempt from emergencies and will do my very best to contact you should I need to cancel at the last minute.
