Recipients of this program will have the options of both in person (when available) and online therapy which will be provided for a maximum of up to 6 months. These sessions will be partially subsidized by Sasso Psychotherapy.

Why is this program primarily for the BIPOC community and individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders?

It is not uncommon for these individuals to face barriers when seeking quality mental health care due to personal, structural and systemic factors. For example a study was conducted by the Mental Health Commission of Canada which showed the indisputable link between racial discrimination experienced by members of the BIPOC community and mental health problems. This same study goes on to note the mental health disparities faced by BIPOC communities.

This program aims to help those with limited access to mental health care.

Who can apply?

Although this program was created to lessen the mental health constraints faced by members of the BIPOC community and individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, anyone seeking reduced cost therapy is welcome to apply.

How many spots are available?

At this time I am able to offer one (1) spot. This spot is filled not only on a first come first served basis but also on suitability, ensuring that you and I are a good fit for each other.

Suppose your low cost sessions are all booked, what do I do now?

An excellent option would be to explore a student therapist, many of them offer low cost therapy sessions, and even pro-bono (free) sessions. While I do not have a student therapist on my team, there are many practices that offer this service. A quick Google search should provide many options.

How many sessions are available?

This program runs for a maximum of 6 months, with one session a week.

Can I use insurance

In order to maintain the objective of this program, applicants who are without insurance will be prioritized.

Is there a waitlist for the program?

There is no waitlist for this program, however, you can check back at a later date to see if there is any availability.
