In our sessions we will explore what your triggers are so that we can begin to understand the nature of your anxiety.
We will identify any irrational or unhelpful thought patterns and learn how to change those thoughts in to more helpful ones.
One of the most important thing that I aim to do for all of my clients, is to provide them with the tools to cope outside of our sessions. We will discuss techniques that will place the power back into your hands and allow you to deal with your anxiety.
Anxiety can cause us to be quite critical of ourselves. Together we will learn the skill of being more compassionate and have a less judgmental attitude towards yourself.
We will discuss lifestyle factors that could be impacting your anxiety, such as sleep, exercise, diet, community etc.
My goal is to provide techniques that can be implemented to create long term resilience.
Please reach me at lisa@sassopsychotherapy.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
If your anxiety is causing you constant rumination or overthinking; you're experiencing physical symptoms such as trouble sleeping, headaches, stomach issues or tension; you're feeling on edge, restless or fatigued; or if it's impacting your work, school or relationship, therapy can help.
While each case is unique, typically my clients notice changes withing the first few sessions.
Absolutely! I have had success while working with a wide variety of anxieties.
No, anxiety is a normal part of life and we don't want to completely get rid of it. My goal is to get your level of anxiety to a much more manageable state, therefore putting the control back in your hands.
